Chinese pork prices continued to rise .

At the end of July, “World Finance” reported that pork prices continued to rise, and many provinces such as Zhejiang and Guangdong started the battle against pig prices. In Hainan Province, for example, the wholesale price of live pigs has risen to 11 yuan, 12 yuan per kilogram, pay attention to the price of live pigs, the price of live pigs in 2018 is also 7,8 yuan, you can see the extent of the increase. The price of pork chops in the market is around 35 yuan, and the price of ordinary pork is more than 25 yuan. Why is the price of pork so fast?

1. African swine fever, which have disposed of a batch of pigs, the number is unknown, but it is very large.

According to Zhuo Chuang information data, in July 2019, the absolute amount of domestic pigs, although narrowed in June, still maintained a downward trend. Since the beginning of the year, the proportion of declines was the largest in June, the stocks fell by nearly 12 percentage points, and the absolute amount of live pigs fell by more than 40 million. By the end of July, the national pig stocks had lost nearly 60%. The losses of pigs in the provinces were all heavier, especially in the provinces where the live pig trade was active. The losses in the Fujian, Susie and Guangdong and Guangxi markets were over 70%, and the losses in the Hebei, Shandong, Zhejiang and Hunan markets were over 60%.

In addition, Hainan has spread African swine fever in April. Although there are no reports, many gossips and inspectors stationed at highway junctions and on the main roads of the villages indicate the situation. Subsequently, everyone did not dare to buy pork. In the market, some quarantined pork was sold in some markets, and no pork was sold in the village or town. All small and medium-sized pig farms and rural free-range pigs were disposed of by a large number of electric shocks. By the beginning of June, it took only two months to calm down. The supply of pigs is in short supply, and the price of pork naturally rises.

Second, after African swine fever, there is also a phenomenon, that is, rural free-range pigs, that is, the pigs cannot be sold.

When a large number of pigs arrived, they were still unattended. The more the country is, the more afraid of pigs, and until now, the slaughterhouses in most villages are still closed, and no one dares to buy them. The free-range pigs have not been tested, no major customers have been acquired, the village slaughterhouses have been closed, and the free-range pigs have been ignored and squeezed. Without this part of the pig to supplement the pork market, the price will inevitably rise.

Third, rectify environmental pollution, prohibiting the private opening of small pig production

Affected by environmental protection policies, some small and medium-sized farms in various places were closed. The main reason was that the sewage treatment of pig farms did not meet the standards and caused environmental pollution. At the same time, a large number of shrimp ponds, fish ponds, etc. are also closed in some places. The original intention was to protect the environment, but when it came to African piglets, the combination of the two could be imagined. It is expected that the hog price increase will continue for some time until the African piglets are completely gone, and large pig farms are slaughtering large numbers of pigs, otherwise the price will continue to rise.

Fourth, Fujian, Guangdong and other new policies for raising pigs

In order to thoroughly implement the central decision-making and deployment, Fujian Province has put the promotion of the production of pig production support in a more prominent and important position, and made great efforts to stabilize pig production, fully prepare for various market regulation, improve the regulation mechanism of the pig market, and alleviate live pigs. The production and market prices fluctuated periodically, which promoted the stable and healthy development of pig production, and issued the notice of “Fujian Province’s plan to ease the cyclical fluctuation of the price of the live pig market”.

Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other 12 departments jointly issued the “Notice on Printing and Distributing Ten Measures for Promoting the Supply of Pig Production in the Province”. The “Notice” requires the responsibility of raising pigs to be implemented in prefecture-level cities. Each city must complete the required targets. The Guangzhou index is 400,000, Huizhou is 1.91 million, and Yangjiang is 1.95 million. The Maoming index is the heaviest and is divided into 5.13 million heads.
